BUILDING / EAST BILOXI / A HOUSE FOR ALVIN

This is Alvin.
Alvin's house was damaged in Katrina, but not destroyed. The renovation design called for removing a small addition and creating a new one. During the first stages of renovation, however, we learned that the amount of work required warranted tearing down the building and beginning anew.

To keep the project on schedule, the City of Biloxi allowed volunteers to build the house using the renvoation plans, yielding Alvin's hybrid house: a New Construction Rehab.
